CTM360®, a leading cybersecurity firm in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has been accepted as a full member of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST). The company is the first private company from the Kingdom of Bahrain and across the Middle East to be accepted as a FIRST member.

On achieving this feat, CTM360’s CEO, Mr. Mirza Asrar Baig stated “A remarkable achievement in a short span of time; CTM360 continues to push as a high-achiever in the cyber security space. We expect FIRST to add a new dimension to our capabilities and in turn, are eager to contribute to this global platform. As the very first entity from the Kingdom of Bahrain to be included in this network is a honor; we seek to make Bahrain a shining beacon for cyber security and technology innovation on an international level.”

“As cybersecurity has become a global issue, the need for agility, innovation and determination in security has grown tremendously. Constant vigilance and secure practices in the cloud will help secure organizations and individuals. Going forward, it will remain crucial for security teams across the Middle East to focus on these aspects to achieve true cyber resilience,” Mirza stated.

CTM360 was gauged across multiple competencies in its security practice and granted membership after careful review. The FIRST membership qualification process relies on nominations from two existing members of FIRST sponsors, followed by a detailed audit process and approval by the FIRST Steering Committee.

FIRST brings together a variety of computer security incident response teams from government CERTs, private CIRTs, commercial institutions and educational organizations (https://first.org/members/teams/). The network aims to foster cooperation and coordination in incident prevention, to promote information sharing among members and to enable sharing of relevant threat intelligence.
